Hi Queens! A few times every month we sometimes need to wash the build-up out of hair. Personally, I believe that this is a perfect shampoo for the 4C hair texture. This shampoo is a little different from the basic shampoo recipes. The only difference is, I added African Black Soap instead of adding Castile Soap. Castile Soap is a olive or vegetable oil-based soap. African Black Soap is made from sun-dried plantain, cocoa pods, palm tree leaves, and shea tree bark along with water, coconut oil, palm oil, and Shea Butter. I chose African Black Soap because I was more familiar with using it in past experiences. I also added a few drops of essential oils to my shampoo recipe so that I could be sure to lock in the moisture to my hair. Be sure to check out my Essential Oils blog to see which oils can work best for your hair texture. Below I will give a brief description of the ingredients I use in this shampoo.
African Black Soap
This black soap is generally made in Africa and is filled with roasted and dried plantain, cocoa pods, palm tree leaves, and shade tree bark which is combined with the oils of coconut, shea butter, and palm. This soap will be generally used as a thickener for the detergent.
Vitamin E oil
This oil derives from a large variety of plants such as vegetable oils, nuts, seeds, whole grains and dark green leafy vegetables. Some benefits this oil offer is revitalizing hair and stimulating hair growth
