As a new mom, raising a toddler can sometimes be challenging because toddlers will touch everything. So, ensuring that my house is clean and toys are sanitized without exposing my home to chemicals and toxins is very important to me. The way I do that is by using my very own natural disinfecting spray cleaner. This disinfecting spray cleaner is made with the following ingredients: white vinegar, water, rubbing alcohol, and lemon essential oil. Below I will give a brief description of the benefit of each ingredient.

White vinegar

This aggressive vinegar  is made  from fermented grains which then turns into acetic acid and then is diluted with water. As a cleaner, white vinegar is great to use as a disinfectant, deodorizer, and at cutting grease. This vinegar has enough acetic acid to kill salmonella, e-coli, and many more types of bacteria which makes it out to be a great surface cleaner.

Rubbing Alcohol

Rubbing alcohol  is made  with  90% of ethanol in the remaining portion is water. Many households are familiar with using rubbing alcohol mostly for cleaning open sores and massaging aching muscles. It is also great for disinfecting and cleaning surfaces.

Lemon essential oil

Lemon trees were first introduced to Europe around 200 A.D. This fruit then took another 1300 years to spread across the globe. Lemons contain a huge amount of antioxidants, vitamin C, and several other properties that helps with preventing cancer along with other chronic diseases. These properties make this essential oil a great antibacterial, degreasing, and deodorizing cleaner.

Ingredients

1 ¼ cup of water

¼ cup of white vinegar

¼ cup of rubbing alcohol

15 drops of lemon essential oil

Spray bottle

Directions

Mix all the ingredients together in spray bottle and spray away. After spraying on desired surface let it sits for about 10 minutes and then wipe those germs away with the microfiber cloth. Be sure not to use this on granite and marble to avoid etching the surface.
